Digital X-rays

X-rays have been the gold standard for dental imaging technology for many years. They let us see the bones and tooth roots lying underneath the soft tissue and gums, giving us a complete picture of what's going on with your child's smile. Modern digital x-rays are a great improvement on this classic technique, using a wireless sensor to let us create x-ray images right on our computer. This significantly speeds up the x-ray process, and because we need a lower intensity of x-rays to create them, digital x-rays are both better for the environment and safer for your child than older methods, cutting radiation exposure by up to 80%.

Advantages of digital X-rays

We want your little one to be as comfortable as possible during their appointment, and digital X-rays eliminate the need to bite down on a sharp piece of film encased in plastic.

There is no need to wait for the X-ray film to be developed before it can be viewed, so the entire checkup can be a lot shorter.

The digital images can be enlarged and manipulated, giving the doctor a clear, more detailed look at your child's teeth.

Because your child can see the image enlarged on a screen, they can better understand why taking care of her teeth is important.

It's better for the earth! There is no need to use harmful chemicals to process film.
